EU funding for websites, online stores and business digitalisation
EU funds can partly finance an online store, e-sales system, product configurator, process digitalisation or AI solutions. We explain which measures fund this, whether your project fits, and deliver the IT part from technical specification to reporting.
Short answer
EU support for digitalisation in Lithuania is distributed through calls, most often announced by the Innovation Agency (Inovacijų agentūra). For example, the 2023 call "MVĮ skaitmeninimas" (SME digitalisation) offered up to €25,000 per activity for e-sales solutions or product configurators (up to €50,000 for both). The company usually co-finances part of the costs, and costs incurred before the application are usually not reimbursed. MINGO acts as the IT supplier: technical specification, delivery and reporting documents.
Who it's for
- SMEs planning an online store, e-sales or expansion abroad
- Manufacturers needing a product configurator or ordering system
- Companies that already received EU funding and need a reliable IT supplier
- Companies planning an application that need a realistic IT scope and price
When you don't need us
- We don't write applications or administer projects – we work alongside your consultant
- If the project has already started (contract signed or paid), funding is usually no longer possible
We'll say it openly – even if it means we won't take the project.
What EU funding usually covers
An online store or e-sales system: orders, payments, online contracts, accounting integration.
A 2D or 3D configurator where customers build a product, see the price and order.
Order management, CRM, warehouse or production systems, ERP integrations, document automation.
AI assistants for support and sales, document processing, forecasting – especially in manufacturing.
Process analysis and recommendations on what and how to digitalise (e.g. digital voucher projects).
A multilingual website or store as part of a wider business development project.
What is usually not funded
- Costs incurred or committed before the application.
- Routine maintenance, hosting and domain after the project.
- Advertising budgets – unless the call explicitly allows them.
- VAT, if the company can reclaim it.
- Work not related to the goal described in the application.

FAQ
FAQ
How much EU funding can a website or online store get?
Each call sets its own limits. For example, the 2023 "MVĮ skaitmeninimas" call offered up to €25,000 for e-sales solutions, up to €25,000 for product configurators and up to €50,000 for both. The company co-finances part of the costs.
Is there an open call right now?
Calls are announced periodically on esinvesticijos.lt and inovacijuagentura.lt. Contact us and we'll tell you what is open or planned for your project.
Can we start building now and get funding later?
Usually not. Costs incurred or committed before the application are generally not eligible.
Do we receive EU money upfront?
Usually costs are reimbursed through payment claims, so the company needs funds to pay for the work first. Some calls allow advance payments.
What is de minimis?
A ceiling for small state aid. Since 2024 a company may receive up to €300,000 of de minimis aid over 3 years. Many digitalisation measures are granted under this rule.
